Cryolipolysis, also known as fat freezing or CoolSculpting, is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses freezing temperatures to reduce fat cells in targeted areas of the body. Hand-held devices are used with suction to isolate the treatment area, which is then cooled to between 32.2 and 39 degrees Fahrenheit. The procedure is designed to target fatty bulges that don't respond to diet or exercise. Areas for treatment include the abdomen, thighs, upper and lower back, buttocks, and jaw.
